Management and security staff can enter your room for maintenance purposes or if they suspect hostel terms and conditions are being breached. They will knock before entering.
Reception Hours:
7.30AM – 9.00PM (Note - there are seasonal variations)
Checkout Times:
10.00AM . Should you require a 'Late Checkout' please ask at reception. Your promptness would be appreciated so that cleaning may begin.
Lockout Service:
Should you find yourself locked out of your room, please call the following number 16500 from any phone in Pinewood. A charge for this service may apply.
Telephones:
Phones are located in the TV room and lounge areas of some units. The Telstra E-phone card is the only phone card compatible with on-site phones, and may be purchased at reception.
Internet:
Global Gossip Internet Chain. Credit can be purchased from reception. Computers are located in TV Room and also Reception.
Laundry:
Both laundries are open 24 hours and consist of coin-operated washing machines and dryers. Sachets of laundry powder may be purchased at reception.
Smoking:
Smoking is permitted in the grounds; please use the butt trays provided. Smoking is not permitted inside any building for fire and health reasons; any person caught smoking inside may be asked to leave.
Eviction:
Management reserve the right to ask you to leave for any of the following:
Drunken or disruptive behaviour
Violence, threats of violence
Verbal or physical abuse
Justified complaints about bad behaviour
Theft
Wilful damage to hostel property
Complaints:
You can make a verbal complaint to the office or write / email the General Manager info@pinewood.co.nz. Any complaints will be dealt with swiftly so that your stay may be made more enjoyable here at Pinewood.
