The first downhill track in Queenstown! This one is an old boy, built before many younger generation riders were even born. Despite its venerable history, it rocks. Flowing corners lead to some rough roots and rocks then down at a speed-inducing gradient to a jump line that is not for the faint of heart. This line can be avoided simply by riding to left. The track splits itself in two at a chunky step down gap that only a top rider should tackle. To the left is a nice bit of track with a quicker route down the fall line back to Hammy’s and eventually the gondola building. To the right a lovely section of bermed and flat switchbacks with a stunning view of the lake eventually bring you down to the same destination.
