Spring is here! Out with the Snowboards and Skis and in with the Mountain Bikes!
For you crazy Downhill Bikers Skyline Queenstown opened its bike assisted Gondola this week taking you directly to the Queenstown Bike Park. There are 27 world class downhill mountain biking trails from the easiest Grade 1-2 through to your expert Grade 5-6. The park is set in amongst the gorgeous pine trees of the Ben Lomond Reserve with over 30km of tracks to shred up. Skyline Queenstown offers a range of Gondola assisted bike passes, from half day to multi-day passes and season passes.
If you fancy something a little less adrenaline fuelled there are loads of Cross Country Trails around Queenstown that you can take your Hard Tail or Full Suspension bike out onto! For a nice easy ride with gorgeous views of the lake give the Frankton Track a go! It's an awesome cruise for a sunny day and there are a few stops along the way if you fancy a lunch break or a cheeky coffee.
For something in-between check out the Seven Mile Bike Park which is 15 minutes by car out towards Glenorchy. Here there are a stunning network of diverse riding opportunities from perfectly groomed berms to root strewn technical climbs and descents.
Of course these are just to name a few... there are many more bike riding tracks in and around Queenstown!
Pop in and see the reception staff at Pinewood! We can recommend tracks, locations, and even get you set up with our own bike hire! We have all your Downhill, Full Suspension and Hard Tail needs in all one place at full day and half day hire!
